Jim Martin purchased a small John Deere dealership just off Argyll Road in Edmonton. Those humble beginnings in a two-stall service station lead to growth through the sixties and seventies and soon enough, Martin Farm Equipment operated six dealership locations, including Edmonton, Calgary, Mayerthorpe, Warburg and Wetaskiwin.
Denis Peyre opened Peyre Farm Equipment in High Prairie.
Deerline Sales was established in Barrhead and Westlock by Wayne Peyre and Partners.
Our sister store Martin Motor Sports made it's debut serving the Powersports and Marine industries and recreations lovers.
The Peyre brothers merged operations under the name of Deerline Sales.
In a move to better serve their local communities and clients Martin Farm Equipment and Deerline Sales merged and began operating as Martin Deerline, to be North Central Alberta's premier John Deere dealership.
Martin Deerline expanded further into the Peace Country purchasing the Ross Ag dealership at Falher, bringing our total number of John Deere locations to 10. You can find Martin Deerline in Falher, High Prairie, Mayerthorpe, Barrhead, Westlock, Warburg, Wetaskiwin, Calgary and our two Edmonton locations on the West and South side.
It's been almost 60 years since our doors first opened, and Martin Deerline and Martin Motor Sports now span Western Canada with 15 locations.
